What in Alberta killed C.F.?

I read a story in the Edmonton Journal about a toddler who died while in the care of a government authorized foster home. The foster mother apparently has been charged. It’s a sad one. I quibbled over the writer’s early suggestion that the 21-month-old “was killed.” As killed, to me, suggests “at the hands of another.” Time will tell the verdict.

But in researching what medical examiners may infer, I came upon an Alberta fatality inquiry report into the death of C.F. It tells me all is not well for children, for First Nation children, for Alberta. It is a brutally sad story, but important for people to know. Click here to read it.
